Surnames: Gryder Grider Greider
Seeking information on Gryder or Grider (original spelling may be "Greider") family. Related to Tolbert family of Claiborne Parish, LA. Dates shown are not confirmed.

Frederick Cornelius, b ca 1750 d 1820, probably born in PA. Ancestor may have come to Philadelphia in Palantine immigration from Germany. Family may have originated in Switzerland.

William Murry Gryder, b 1780 in NC, probably Burke County. Married Marry Perry, no details. We believe many of their descendants lived and may still live in Burke County, NC.

Hugh Cornelius Gryder, b 1808 TN. Married Julia Ann Galbraith or Brady (married twice?), b 1812 MS or LA.

Julia Ann or July Gryder, b 1830-1834, LA. Married Nathaniel Tolbert. Later remarried to William Czonch or Cronch. Both died in Claiborne Parish.

Especially interested in any family history of diabetes.

Any information will be appreciated. I don't have much information, but I will be glad to share it.
