Looking for any information on my family's relatives. I know they have relatives in Detroit but do not know anything of them. All I know is Julius Gruba was born in 3/11/1870 in Germany. His siblings were Julia, Frank, Walter and George Grubba. Julius became a naturilized citizen in Detroit. Married a Martha (Burkowski)? who died in child birth - son John Joseph Grubba born 5/5/1895. His son and my father is John Herber Grubba. Any information please let me know thanks.

I too am looking for family connections-----my Grandfather, Francis (Frank) Xavier Grubba, at age 30, married Helen Dulek in Amherst Junction, Wisconsin October 30, 1916. His mothers name was Alice Werkowski, and his one brother that I knew of was Julian Grubba, he and his wife May, lived in Oskosh, Wisconsin in the mid 50's. Not sure if this connects with your family or not.

Here is a family photo of my Grubba family from 1916. The father of this family is Albert. His father was John who came from Prussia. Grubba is a northern European name that deals with people who work in dirt or mining.

My grandfather is Peter Grubba in this photo. I know that he had a brother named Frank, but, I don't know which one he is in the photo. Perhaps you do.

Good luck and enjoy...
