Hello - My paternal grandmother,Martha Grubba, her parents, John and Marcyanna Grubba and sister, Mary immigrated to the US in 1881 from Putzig, Germany (This area is also known was Prussia). John and Marcyanna had 6 more children: Anthony, Agatha, Florian, Frank, Leon and Albert. I have information on this family and am looking for
information that would link us to other Grubbas in the US. If this "clicks" or if your would like to further explore and links between the two Grubba families, I would love to hear from you.

Hello Douglas:

I'm sure that we are related. I believe that I have
a picture of your grandfather from the military. My grandfather
was Peter Grubba--I think he was Donald's brother. I grew up in
Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and now live in Chicago. I am 26 years old
and will soon be married. I work for Hyatt Hotels. I have been to
STevens Point a couple of times--lots of Grubbas there.

Hello - Would there be a connection to a Julianna (Julia) Grubba? My gGM was born in Prussia, 1858, and immigrated to Detroit with her husband, Franz Miotke, in 1880. They had fourteen children, including 2 sets of twins. We originally believed the surname was Gruber but discovered it as Grubba on the marriage license of one of her sons. Would like to hear from you if there is a connection.
