NEWARK: A funeral service for John H. Grubaugh, 85, of Newark, Ohio, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery (US 40 at Fairmount Rd., Jacksontown, OH), where military honors will be conducted by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.
John retired from Rockwell International.
He passed away January 5, 2015, at the Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center.
He was born April 12, 1929, in Newark, Ohio to the late John H. and Lulu B. (Foster) Grubaugh.
John was an Army Veteran and a member of the Northside Church of Christ.
He is survived by his caregiver and loving friend, Ann (Macklin) Arnold of Newark; children, Dale Grubaugh of Granville, Ohio, Bev (Jim) Higginbotham of Granville, and Dean (Neisha) Grubaugh of Johnstown, OH; sister, Esther Boyer of Millersport, OH; granddaughters, Mikala Grubaugh, Angela Higginbotham, Alisha (Higginbotham) Schiltz and Amanda (Higginbotham) Warner; as well as great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, John H. Grubaugh; III, and siblings, Carl, Forest, Earl, Alice, and Dale.
