Frederic is also in my family tree. I have found records that say he is from Baden, Baden-Wurttemberg, or Bavaria in Germany. I have a DOB of 1840. His first wife was Elizabeth Neu marriage date 27 Oct 1856. Original record may have listed name as Friederich Grasz (Ohio Vital Records #0344470). Elizabeth had a son George John who was the father of Selma Magdalena (Gross) Falta, my grandmother. She (Elizabeth) is listed in the 1860 Census but not the 1870. The 1900 Census has Frederick listed living with "sons" with the last name of Rentschler. By this I "assumed" that his second wife at one time had the name Rentschler. There is no wife listed in 1900. I have found him in the 1884 Ceincinnati directory on Jones street as a cabinetmaker. bfalta@gmail.com
