GROBER, Arthur R. Parents, Lewis and Bertha (CROCKER) GROBER. Born, Milwaukee, Wisc., May 23, 1886. Married, Minnie E. ROOT, Aug. 1, 1912. Children: Ralph W., Frances M., Pearl M. Educated, Public schools of Milwaukee, La Verne Academy, Calif. Occupation: Owner and Proprietor, Grober Dairy, McFarland, Calif. From 1908 to 1912 he was in the general mercantile business at La Verne. He came to Kern County in 1912 and went with the Kern Store, McFarland. He has been in general farming and land development in the area southwest of McFarland since 1913. He established the Grober's Dairy in 1922 and it has been in continuous operation since then. In his general farming he raises cotton, alfalfa, orchard fruits and grapes. He was a member of the Ministerial Board, Church of Brethern (sic), 1924-35, and Superintendent of its Sunday School in 1935-36. He has been Assistant Superintendent of the Sunday School since 1938. Member: Kern County Farm Bureau; California Cotton Co-operative Association; McFarland Civic Club, charter member; Natural Milk Producers Association of Kern County; California Dairymen's Association.
