Christopher Grobe was my Great Grandfather. My Grandmother, Alma, was one of his daughters. My mother, Florence, is still living and knew her Grampa Grobe. How are you related to Christopher Grobe?

Hello, if this is Beth,

My wife, Kayron, is the one that has been doing
all of the digging into our family trees.
My name is Mark. I am the descendant of
Christopher Grobe. My father is Albert Jr.,
his father (my Grandfather) was Albert Sr.,
and his father (my Great Grandfather) was
Christopher. Alma and Albert Sr. were
brother and sisters. To make sure all of
this is correct, is your b-day 12/23 and your
son's b-day 9/3 (Kayron's and My Wedding
Anniversary)? If so we are related. We
Do not have any information past Christopher.
We are still looking for more information.

Thanks,

Mark Kayron

No, I'm not Beth. I'm Cheryl May. Beth is my youngest sister. I know your dad, "Jackie" and your Aunt Karen. You want to go back further than Christopher Grobe? I'll talk to Mom today and see what else we can come up with. I thought your Aunt Karen would have a lot of information. Say hi to your Dad for me. Cheryl/Finke/May.

Hello,

I'm researching my wife's (Jane Ellen [GROBE] Wegner) ancestry when I came across this BB. Her father was Arnold "Arnie" Friedrich GROBE (born 20 Oct 1913 in Bensenville, IL). Bensenville is adjacent to Elmhurst mentioned in Kayron's 26 Aug 2000 message. Arnie married Mary Jane HOGAN in Jan 1945, and they had 3 children, Barbara, Jane (my wife) and Eileen. Arnie's father was Louis Karl GROBE (born around 1874) and he married Martha REETZ (born 23 Feb 1876). The had 8 children: Otto, Laura, Elsie, George, Arnold (my wife's father), Rose, Dorothy and Florence. Is the Louis GROBE mentioned in Francie's message the same person, and possible my wife's grandfather? You can contact me directly at eawegner@fedex.com.

Thanks,
Allen

Hi Francie,

Louis Karl Grobe is my Great Grandfather as well, but I don't have much information about him except that his wife's name was Martha Reetz. Arnie Grobe was my father, and one of his sisters, Laura Marie, is your Grandmother. Could you send me the information you have and I'll update you on my family. Contact me at eawegner@fedex.com or post a reply on this board. Thanks.

Your cousin,
Janie
