I am the great grandaughter of Elizabeth Ann Gritman b.1860, d.1929, married Charles Edward Greensword 1881. She is the sister of Martha Emma "Mattie" married Benjamin Fitzsimmons and Ella Nora married Van Wyck Baylis. She is the daughter of William Schwetzer Gritman and Harriet Buck and the grand-daughter of Samuel F. Gritman and (?)Mahala Althouse. William and Samuel were boatbuilders and patented the "Seaford Skiff." They are all buried in Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead.I would apprediate any further information about my geneology and how it connects to the Gritmans of Dutchess County.
