Thank you for the information. I've been stuck on Oliver B GRISWOLD for a while now.

Maurice's sister Corinth is my g-g grandmother. She married Watson ROOT on Dec 24, 1860 in New Hartford, Litchfield, CT. They had ten children - one of them was my g-grandmother Adeline (Addie), who married Alfred Tuttle of New Hartford.

I have the Civil War pension file for Watson ROOT. Depositions were taken when his widow Corinth applied for pension and she names her parents and siblings. She mentions her mother's death, but never anything more about her father, except his name (Oliver B GRISWOLD).

Did you find this information in one of the GRISWOLD family History books? I checked the 1850 census and found Oliver B living with a Harriet (19). Is this the "Henrietta" that you mentioned?
