My great-great grandfather of the above name was originally from Lexington KY, moved to LA then served CSA. Last known residence was in Campden AR, and he died in battle of Jenkins Ferry in Grant County AR. His son by same name was born 4 days after battle of Jenkins Ferry.
In Campden there is supposed to be a monument to Col. Grinstead, I am looking for all information regarding this man, also would like a picture of monument, and/or would like to know just what the monument says. I have no other information than above, and verification has been lacking.
