I found the following info while volunteering to index the Essex, England, parish records for LDS. I'm not related but thought this "juicy tidbit" might be useful to somebody on this board. (XP on Dawson and Holden boards)

“The End. In printed Books from this time Pursuant to ye Act of Parliament Know [sic] as Roses. (Vide Abstract)”
“The Rector remarks on the entry of July 9 1780 where the name Sarah is altered to Hannah Grimsey. She was the wife of John Grimsey. There were two persons of that name viz Sarah da of John & the above Hannah, since married to Joseph Dawson of Gt Bently & Sarah da of Robert & Martha Bass 1760 and marrd to Richd Holden.
Jun 6 1785 Martha Grimsey. She was widow of Robert. She is called Hannah in no less than eight entries. Corrected on the authority of her own family & other undoubted testimony.”
