My ancestor is

He married Elizabeth H.H., don't have a clue as to where or when, probably Tnn.
Known Children:
1) Newton Cokley/Coakley Griffin b.1831 Tnn. d.1898 Gonzales Co.,Tx.
2) Jasper Griffin b.@1833 Tnn.d.@1855 may be Angelina Co.,Tx.
3) Martha Griffin b.@1834 Tnn. married a--?--James and died after giving birth to a daughter(b.1860 La.) Daughter was Alice James married John Grothgar in Galveston, Texas. She and her children perished during the hurricane about the turn of the century.
4) Mary Elizabeth Griffin b.@1841 Tnn. married John M. Rowe in Dallas Co.,Tx.
5) Jacob Josephus Griffin b.1845 La. d.shortly after Civil War in Tx. Married Louisa J. Warren in Dallas Co.,Tx. Had 2 daughter before his death.
6) Unice J. Griffin b.1847 Tx. She married Newton J. Golden 1879 Dallas Co.,Tx. No children born.
7) Melissa Texana Griffin b.1850 Tx. Married Vincent F. Pace in 1874 Dallas Co.,Tx. d.1878 leaving twin sons and one daughter.
8) Andrew Jackson VIOLA Griffin b.1851 Tx. Married #1 Napoleon Bates in 1874 #2 James E.W.Berry in 1880 #3 John B. Ballard in 1883. All in Dallas Co.,Tx. One child was born to this women, Jesse Ann Bell Bates b.1876 Tx. I have been told that she may have run a house of ill repute in Dallas Co. area.

This family left Tnn. for Ouachita Co.,La. about 1845. They show up in the Angelina Co. census for 1850. Then 1860 and 1870 Dallas Co.,Tx. census. They died before 1880.

Isaac Wilson Griffin seemed to use Wilson instead of his first name. I know that one of the twins was named for his paternal grandfather and the other was named Wilson Thomas, I assume after his maternal ggrandfather. Any help or clues or suggestions are appreciated.
