Hi,

Were the Brickler women you speak of the daughters of Frank Brickler and Bessie Mauck? If so, could you tell me who Frank's parents were? I ask because I am also researching a Frank Brickler, though he's a different one (older) than the one who would have had daughters Dorothy and Clara. They are probably connected to the same family of Bricklers though who came to Lafayette from Dearborn County, IN.

The Frank Brickler I spoke of is connected to one of my in-laws through birth but there is an adoption involved. But there could be a connection between the two Franks.

I'm sorry I don't have specific information on the Dorothy and Martha you speak of. But in case you want to contact me, my e-mail address is sparrish@ffni.com

Thanks.

Classification: Query
Surnames: Gribben, Lingenfelter
I'm looking for information on Gribben relations (my husband's family) who I believe were originally from Ireland (Roman Catholic) and came to Canada and then Indiana.

There is a line of Hugh John Gribben's. My understanding is that my son is #6. There may have been other, earlier Hugh John Gribben's but they skipped a generation or were uncles, etc. My son's gg-grandfather was the second son so named, the first son died at a young age. My son's g-grandfather was in Canada (but I don't know when or where he was born) before coming to the U.S.; my father-in-law was born (1936) in Gary, Indiana. He is the oldest of nine children. He married Marjorie Lingenfelter. Any info on this branch of the family also welcome.

My father-in-law seems to have absolutely no interest in family history. Any Hugh John Gribben leads would be appreciated.

Yes my mother Clara was Frank Bricklers daughter.I don't remember much about him as he died when I was just a very little girl. If you have any other info about him and my grandmother I would love to hear about it...
Thanks,
Caroline
