HI,
I hope i can help as I have followed the chain of recent postings:

Regarding Therese Gregoire m. Charles Maufet April 26 1712 in Point aux Trembles Qc. i have the following:
She was born July 06 1691 in Neuville Qc. 2nd child of Francois Gregoire and Mathurin Belanger, the widow of Jean Maheu,(no children)and then Antoine deSerre ( I list 8 children of the Belanger-deSerre marriage).

For Therese and Charles Maufet i list the following children:
1Claude m Francoise Sedilot
2Jean Francois m Madelaine Hamel with a son named Charles m. Therese Audet
3Charles Maufet
4Marie Agnes Maufet m Blais Lemaire with a descendnace by 2 sons Charles and Antoine Lemaire
5Angelique m. Michel Routier
6Jean Marie Maufet
7Andre Maufet m Ursule Moreau
and
8 Joseph Maufet

As for Julien Gregoire, son of Mathurin Gregoire, yes, he is only related to the Francois Gregoire family by marriage to a daughter or a granddaughter of Mathurin Belanger and Antoine deSerre or it could be of Marie-Anne Lienard widow to Denis Mallet.(3 children from the Lienard-Mallet marriage)I do have this info. on file and can look for it if it is of interest)

As Mathurine was a young widow with children at Antoine deSerre's death in 1687,(i show 9 siblings, 3 with descendents) we could presume that marrying Francois Gregoire in 1688 was so to helped raise them along with their 3 by Mathurine,
Jean-francois m. Genevieve Lienard (my line),
Therese m Charles maufet and
Marie-Anne m. Athanase Letartre
until her death in 1698.
Mathurine died at age36 and then he remarried in 1701 Marie-Anne Lienard, widow of Denis Mallet,( 3 children) Francois G, known as the Barber surgeon, went on to father another 15 children with Marie-Anne, of which 8 or 9 have descendance, some of their descendents still living on the lots of the original Neuville property of Francois and Mathurine.

and yes father and son did married the 2 Lienard sisters, 1701 Marie-Anne and Francois, and 1710 for Genevieve and Jean francois.
Their father, Sebastien Lienard and Mathurin's father, Francois Belanger, were involved with the ownership of several seigneuries of the area as well as the Milice of which Francois G. was also part after retiring from the Regiment des Meloises at his arrival in 1685 in Qc. As these regiments of Franche de la Marine lived in the seigneuries instead of barracks on their arrival, most probably this is when initial contacts where established between the landowners/family members and the staff of the regiments... By the notarial acts of marriages etc we can read that they all attended the same functions.
.on a separate note:
if you are doing the birthing maths by now?,yes, assuming Francois raised his step kids,he would have raised over 25 kids if all had lived to adulthood. Not that unusual in Quebec until WW2, and back in the 17 century, this would have provided them a social ranking and a royal pension, above certain number of kids they received an supplemental allocation paid yearly...

i hope my 2 cents has helps...

As for the Gregoire-Vincent question in Lowell. Ma, i will check and see if i have anything and if so,I will send it in a separate posting...
