Looking today at Cahan's Presbyterian records- they have James Greason and Jane Bell of Tullyleer with the following children: Walter 29 Feb 1768; Margrett 31 May 1770; Sarah 29 June 1772; Nathaniel 7 Apr 1775 and Isaac 8 Apr 1775 (twins); Richard 24 Sept 1784; William 11 Feb 1790.
This was a transcription filmed by LDS. Has anyone seen the original? I ask because their Nathaniel is clearly born 1775, not 1755. Does the original differ?

Just looking at a Greachen g/stone photo here, shows how careful you need to be as this one certainly doesn't make sense!!

It gives death of one as 24 Sept 1804, and his son who died 27 Jan 1906 age 28....

Yes, 1804 and 1906! Father/Son!

This is the g/stone of Robert G who married Sarah Benson!

Fom a list of pewholders at Ballyalbany Presbyterian 1804: nathaniel Greacen, in the Gallery, pew one.

1873-from a memorial to Ballyalbany Presbyterian Church asking that the minister NOT wear robes- Thomas and Elizabeth Greacen of Tullyleer, signatories.

Sorry- left out Robert Greacon and Robert Greacen from the list of pewholders in 1804. These are two different people, one in pew 27 and one in 43. Pews were rented by churchgoers, very different from what we in the US are accustomed to. The annual stipend paid made the pew "private property". I don't know how many people
sat with the pewholders, but the stipend varied, as did the number of pew-holders per pew. Robert Greacon paid 15 shillings for his, while Robt. Greacen paid 7 shillings 6 pence. Pew number one was held entirely by Alexander Fleming of Monaghan Town, and he paid 1 pound, 2 shillings and 9 pence for the privilege.
