Looking for descendants of John Grant born abt 1849 in Strichen, Aberdeen-shire. Mother Mary Chalmers. We know he went to Australia and there is a mention of a John Grant a crew man on the ship Potosi to Australia in 1881. This may or may not be him!! e had a headstone erected on his mother's grave in Longside, Aberdeen-shire. She died in 1873.
