IVY and ARTHUR---We believe that my great-grandmother's great-grandmother (or grandmother) was Catherine Grabanski (Grabonski). My great-grandmother's father was a Krisch. My great-grandmother was named Charlotte Krisch. She married Friedrich "Fred" Kamradt. They were both born in Ost Persuen?, Germany. They were married in Germany and had a small son, Otto.

In 1893, Fred came to the US and found a job in the salt mines around Iberia, LA. He sent for his family. They also arrived in 1893 2 months before my Grandmother Clara (Kamradt) Stanfield was born (Aug, 1893). Coming with my great-grandmother Charlotte were Catherine, Otto, and Charlotte's sister, Mary. I had thought Mary married a Vogt, either here or in Germany, but I may be wrong. I, also, am having problems finding anything that might fit my line.

Neither of you gave dates, so I don't know when your search time is. This is the closest I've come to Krisch and Grabonski. Maybe we have ties after all. Perhaps we could put our heads together and come up with something that would make us kin after all. If you are interested in pursuing this, you can e mail me at ssstlr@plateautel.net. That is 3 s's; a small T; a small L; and a small R before the @. Then it is p, small L, a, small T, eau, small T, e, and small L. Sometimes it is hard to read. Hope to hear from either or both of you. Thanks, Sue
