My grandmother was Estelle Gozdziewski. The only relatives I know with this name in the US are in Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore. She was born in Warsaw. What information do you need?

Estelle Gozdziewski was my grandmother's sister. I live in Milwaukee
and the following is all the information I have:

Anthony Gozdziewski: b. 10/11/1873 d. 4/10/1956 married
Estelle Fraczczak; b. 3/30/1875 d. 9/20/1957; Their children
were Lottie b. 5/17/1899 (my grand mother); Lucy, Estella, Regina, Mary, Rose
Celia, Roman b. 7/23/1906; and Casey.

I have no other information. Anything you can offer would be most
appreciated. I have no information regarding where in Poland they
came from which is making my search extremely difficult.

Thanks.

Jacquie

The dates are in the right range, Estelle Helen Gozdziewski was born 4-27-1900 in Warsaw and died in 1994 in Milwaukee. Her parents were Konstantin Sofia Gozdziewski. She had a brother named Frank an older sister who died as a child.

Ervin Kufel

for $14 and a stamp you will most likely find out
about their spouses. see roots web for formletter.

I would be most interested in any information you have on Konstantin and Sofia GOZDZIEWSKI, and any other Milwaukee connections you may have. Also, are you aware of any variations of the spelling of this last name? My aunt seems to think that the spelling in Poland may have been GOZIEWSKI.

thanks.

My husbands mothers name was Helen Bertha (Gojeski-originally Gozdziewski) ORRILL
Born 6/27/1907 in Kentucky
Died 02/13/1956 Los Angeles,CA.
Her parents were,
Carl Frederick William GOJESKI
Born ?/?/1878 in ?
Died ?/?/1953 in los angeles
Helena Othelia (Schild or Schield)GOJESKI
Born ?/?/1887 in (?Germany)
Died ?/?/1946 in los angeles

Carl and Helena only had one other child, a daughter named Carolyn born I believe in Washington State.
As I said the original spelling was GOZDZIEWSKI and due to the rareness of the name I wondered if there may be a family connection.
Thanks,
Lyn

Jacquie, read my message to Mike! Przasnysz is about 55 miles north of Warsaw. Use "shtetlseeker-towns" in "Chuck
Shultz" site... Type in "chuck shultz" on Yahoo, click 'search',
click "Shultz", then click "favorites" to get many Gensites!
Other villages in my message to Mike Gozdziewski. Also,
Rymut says correct spelling IS Gozdziewski, NOT Goziewski!
Latter may be anglo spelling as of-the boat. Goziewski=gauz-
YEV-ski vs gauz-GHYEV-ski. Read Genforum & Rootsweb MBs!
