fergusmommy. I have just completed the MIs for Ashkirk (not too far from Hopkirk) and there are Gowanlocks with different spellings. a John Govenlock d. 1868 wife Janet Forrest
another Walter Gouinlock died 1837 wife Jessie Redford and Walter govanlock died 1833 aged 81yrs wife Betty Scott and states he is the third generation to farm at Greenhill.(Both Walters were at Greenhill.
Thought it might tie in somewhere

I am researching the McAdoo family of which Phoebe McAdoo was the first wife of James Blair Gowanlock. I have a photo of her in her youth with her sister Mary (wife of William Douglas of Glenboro) and am curious if you would have a photo of her with James
