Hi Gow67
My mother, Marion Gow, and my father, her husband Boleslaw Edward Klak settled here in Fife in 1949. My mother's father was Frederick Gow, born in Auchterarder, resident at 29 Kennard St. Falkirk, who died in September 1950. Her mother was Jeannie King Taylor Gow, she died in April 1951. My mother's siblings included Brothers; Frederick; William & John. Her sisters were; Margaret; Jean; and Sarah or Sadie. I don't know if we're related or not.

Hi Eduard,
Could be- i'll have a look. Was Jeannie Gow's maiden surname Taylor?
When was Fred Gow born in Auchterarder?

Jeannie's maiden name was Taylor, they hailed from Ayrshire, and for a time lived in Longriggend. Her Father Wm Taylor had an herbalists business on Grahams Road in Falkirk, up until the 1930s I believe.
My maternal Gradfather, Frederick Gow was born in Auchterarder in 1889. His father before him was Frederick. His father in turn was Alexander. My grandfather's mother, the wife of Frederick Gow snr was Bridget Cassidy, born in Perth. Go to it..........,
Regards Eduard

I can't see a connection before Alexander. I've got a copy of fred & bridget's marriage cert of 1886 that shows his parents as below. Do you have a copy of Alexander's marriage certificate to Elisabeth Simpson in 1858 i think? I see someone has already posted it on ancestry but i can't get access to it. This should tell us Alexander's parents.

Hi again,
I don't have a copy of their marriage certificate, but if you have it, we'd appreciate a copy. He was married before Elisabeth Simpson, and had quite an extended family by his first wife. My grandfather had many half siblings via that first marriage.
But, Just who are you?
Regards
