My parents had four children, Herlinda Govea Jaramillo, Bertha Govea Jaramillo, Gregorio Govea, Jr. (who passed away as an infant) and Isabela Govea Zapata. My parents Elena and Gregorio Govea have ten grandchildren and eight grandchildren (three in the Houston area and five in New Mexico).

Elena Sousa Govea is also my grandmother, she was married to Alfredo Martinez first and had two daughters Alicia and Rosa. My grandfater past away when his youngest daughter (my mother) was still on the way. Alicia the eldest of the two daughters was engaged to Gregorio's nephew and i was told is how Elena met Gregorio. Elena married Gregoria and her daughter Rosa met his half brother Emilio and got married as well. then having ten children. I'm the last of the ten. the family just keeps going and going getting more confusing to me. but i love it.

MY NAME IS EPIFANIO GOVEA MY FATHER WAS GREGORIO DELEON GOVEA. I AM ONE OF 4 CHILDREN HE HAD AFTER HE REMARIED.
MY FATHER WAS MARRIED TO MY MOTHER YOLANDA JASSO GOVEA. I WOULD LIKE TO LEARN ABOUT MY FATHER'S EARLY LIFE. AS I UNDERSTAND IT MY FATHER'S REMARRIAGE WAS NOT VERY POPULAR AMONG HIS FAMILY BACK IN FORT WORTH. I THINK ENOUGH TIME HAS ELAPSED TO SPEAK OPENLY OF HIM. MY FATHER NEVER SPOKE OF HIS PAST & MY MOTHER KNEW LITTLE AS WELL. I WOULD REALY LIKE ANY & ALL INPUT OF WHAT HIS EARLY LIFE WAS LIKE IN MEXICO,& HIS EARLY CHILDHOOD..I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO HEAR FROM ANY OF HIS SIBLINGS/OTHER CHILDREN. I ALSO WOULD LIKE TO CONTACT MY UNCLE EMILIO IF HE IS STILL ALIVE..THE LAST TIME I SAW/SPOKE TO HIM WAS AT MY FATHER'S FUNERAL BACK IN 1989...I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO LEARN OF STORIES OF MY GRANDFATHER EPIFANIO GOVEA:I REMEMBER SEEING HIM ONCE BEFORE HE DIED IN 1979. WHO WERE EPIFANIO'S PARENTS & HIS SIBBLING.. ANY AND ALL INFORMATION WOULD GREAT....THANKS

Hello Epifanio, my late husband was Paul Gobea and his father was Jose Govea, son of Epifanio Govea from Weslaco and/or the surrounding area of El Valle de Texas. I believe that he had a sister name Rosa or Rosita as why Paul's only sister was named after. Can't remember Epifanio's brother's name. When Paul and I married in '77, I remember seeing a picture of Jose and Epifanio Govea. Grandpa Epifanio was a very tall man for his age. He was taller that Jose. I live in Colorado and I located a Gloria Govea sometime ago, who lived in Commerce City,Colorado. She couldn't give me much info at the time, however, she told me that an uncle of hers lived here in Colorado Springs, and guess what? His name is also Epifanio Govea. Got to meet him once when he came to our house and met my husband Paul. He said he had a brother Manuel Govea from Ft.Worth,Tx. I would really appreciated more information on the family as it is vital to my son,Paul and my daughter Lisa. You can e-mail me at
vgobea@live.com or call me at 719-464-0330.

Thanks and looking forward to a reply from you,
Viola Gobea

Manuel Govea Jr. in ft worth has a restaurant named " Mi Charrito Rey"
Manuel Sr and Jose are brothers., their dad was Theodoro. Epifanio & Theodoro were brothers. The Epifanio you met in Colorado springs was named after his dad. My dad can't figure out who your father in law was.
