Let's put this family history together

I noticed there was no site for the Goubeaux family so I signed us up for one.

I came across a marriage record for Jean Nicholas Goubeaux age 23 married 13 dec 1745 to Anne Brioleux age 24. recorded in Fresnes-en-Woevre, Meuse, France. (FHL film 1228129 -1742-1758 **additional data in original record) I was looking at Vital Records Index- Western Europe- French region. I haven't yet ordered the film to see the other data. But the index did list their parents:
Jean Goubeaux fa: Joseph Goubeaux, mo: Jeanne Breton.
Anne Brileux fa: Laurent Brioleux, mo: Anne Garot.
I tried to search the index for children born to them or children to their parents, but nothing was there for them. Their were Garot's but I couldn't find a birth record for her.

I have an old Goubeaux book, but I'm sure someone was updating it? Who do I contact for a copy?

From Jean Nicholas Goubeaux (my understanding from before was that this was the Goubeau family, but the record was as I wrote earlier) and Anne Brioleus comes daughter Anne Goubaux (should be father's spelling of Goubeaux) who married Hubert Goubeaux Sr. b. 1760-16 sep 1833 or 2? sep 1824) son of Joseph Goubeaux (d. 10 jul 1810 in France) & Anne Marie Aubry (d. 23 sep 1791).
From Hubert and Anne Goubeaux Goubeaux is son Jean Nicholas goubeaux (22 mar 1805-12 oct 1868) He was born in France died in Frenchtown,Ohio.
Jean Nicholas Goubeaux md Elizabeth Paquin.
Their son Francois Goubeaux md. Maria Catherine Subler. (I'm looking for all of his siblings)
Their daughter Mary Catherine Goubeaux (1877-1963) md. John Henry Petitjean.
Their daughter Luella margaret Petitjean is my grandmother who married William Frank Schwieterman.
I would like to give a complete history to her. She just celebrated her 89th birthday.
Happy Valentine's Day!
Liz

hello! I also have the surname BRIOLEUX (Anne Brioleux) in my family tree. Most of my family members were born in Manheulles (which is a little town near Fresnes-en-Woevre).If you want we could get in touch and maybe we could find out if we have relatives in common!

I think I already answered your message but I try again since I ve got no answer yet.
I live in France and all my ancestors were born in Meuse (FResnes-en-Woëvre and Manheulles...) and I also have an ANNE BRIOLEUX in my family tree. Maybe we could get in touch and share information?
Sorry if I disturb you anyway!

Hi,
Sorry about my slow response. I need to pull out my information. We are trying to get ready for a family vacation to Cancun, Mexico and I haven't looked at many of my emails and other things. I hope you are well.

My family lines all meet up in Ohio. The middle-western part along the Indiana border. I think I found Anne Brioleux or it was her parents on a CD listing some vital records for the area. I was at an LDS family history library, I will locate the names of the record and such. I will be very interested in sharing information and finding a connection. I will be back after July 5 and will pull out my records and contact you later in July. That should give me time to contact some other individuals who might have more information.

Have a wonderful summer. If you do not hear from me by August, please do contact me again. Thanks for writing.
Liz

My dads mother was a Treon/Trion. Would appreciate any information and I'm willing to add to any you already have. Thanks, Bill

Hello Denise ...what a lovely surprise to "discover" you after such a long time ... imagine how this kind of surprise visits so many others who are interested in developing their ancestral roots.

I am just starting the quest for family history and am so glad to see such activity on the internet re. heritage. Rather than use the open field of Ancesty.com, I'd be more comfortable using e-mail directly. Should public interest information become available, one of us could log in and share.

In the meantime .... a snapshot
1. married (36 years) to Gail
2. 2 children, Kat (husband Darby) (daughter Emilienne), Bill (wife Kari)
3. retired from teaching after 33 years (???!!! ) in 2001
4. sold most stuff, stored rest and now are full-time RVers
5. currently in Whitehorse til June ... house sitting ... being real "snow birds ...in the north"
6. lots and lots of interest ... one of them for this winter will be to explore geneology and start to collect the "dots" and hopefully start to connect them with the help of folks who are already out and ahead.

That's it for now ....hope to hear from you etc.
Take care

Bil
