Hi R. S.,

Henry H. GOTCHER & Sarah Jane (Sis) HAVENS were second cousins & were distant cousins of mine. Henry's parents were my GGGG aunt & uncle. Hugh Brown GOTCHER was my GGGG uncle on the GOTCHER side & Malinda Siena (Sue) HAVENS was my GGGG aunt on the HAVENS side. I guess that would make Henry H. a double first cousin four times removed (D1C4R).
I don't have anything on Henry & Sarah Jane's children but try the HAVINS Genealogy forum (My researchers spell it HAVENS.) on GenForum.com. Check message #77 by Susie Havins Stephen. Susie has some info about Charlcie.
I would like to exchange info with you.

Good luck,

Fred Downs

Thanks. There is little question that Charlcie was their daughter. A lawyer has contacted my mother, uncle and aunt regarding their inheritance share of the Gotcher property. Appearantly, there is quite the battle over what is going to happen with this property.
I would appreciate sharing information with you. I'm trying to chase both the Gotcher side as well as the Fudge side of my family. Zerah Fudge was the daughter of Jacob fudge and Charlcie Gotcher. She married Andrew Thomas Rainwater. they had three children. Lois Darlene Rainwater, Gerald Wesley Rainwater, and Robert Patrick Rainwater. Gerald Wesley Rainwater was my grandfather. that makes Charlcie Gotcher my gg Grandmother. That makes Henry Gotcher and Sarah Jane Havins my ggg grandparents. I am interested not only in my bloodline but also the family stories as well.

Charlcie's great grandparents were William Alfred GOTCHER Sr. b. abt. 1773 Franklin Co., TN, d. 1820 Fayette Co., AL & Mary BROYLES b. 23 Jan 1776 Culpepper Co., VA, d. aft. 1850 Farmersville, Collin Co., TX. William & Mary were married about 1790 in Washington Co., TN. They were my GGGG grandparents.
I e-mailed you at the address that you provided for rootsweb.com. It is easier & faster to send info that way.

Hello all,

I am from the Lampassas/Copperas Cove Gotcher line. I know a little about the legal dispute over the Gotcher property and some general info about the Gotcher Cemetary and pedigree lines. If anyone would like to contact me may do so. I'll try to answer any questions that I can.

Best,

Lee,
I'm interested in seeing what you might have on my part of the family. Charlcie Charlotte Gotcher was my gg grandmother. I've been told she and Jacob Fudge are buried in the Gotcher Cemetery. Can you verify this? Do you have any information on the rest of their children? I have the information on Zerah as she was my g grandmother and I knew her. As far as the land dispute, its not an issue for me. Thats up to the Gotcher, Fudge and Rainwater clans to figure it out. Anyway that my Moms generation. But some background information might be interesting though.

Hi Randy,

I believe the names you mentioned are in the Gotcher Cemetary. I definitely know that the Fudge's are tied in somewhere in the line, but I haven't explored that lineage at all. Sorry.

Also for Charlie - who was her father? I could probably help you more if I knew that. I'm not familiar with the Rainwater clan.

Charlcie Charlotte "CC" Gotcher was born 13 FEB 1859. She was the first born daughter of Henry Gotcher and Sarah Jane Havins. Charlcie married Jacob Fudge 12 FEB 1879 in Lampasas, TX. One of their children was a daughter Zerah Matilda Fudge born 1889 in Lampasas, TX. Zerah marrried Andrew Thomas Rainwater 26 June 1910 in Butler, OK. They had three children of which one was my grandfather.
From what I understand both Charlcie and Jacob are buried in the Gotcher Cemetery.
Jabobs brother Richard C Fudge also married a Gotcher daughter from what my research indicates.

Fred,
Butler, OK is in Custer County.
Richard married Lulinda Gotcher (first name may be spelled wrong). She was another daughter of Henry Gotcher and Sarah Jane Havins. I believe they have a descendent living in Dallas named Robert Fudge. This is according to recent court documents. Appearantly in the legal proceedings for the land in Lampasas that is going on some genealogical research has taken place by professionals. I spoke to my mother last week and she is sending me copies. I will share what I receive.
