I am not descended from the GOSTICKs in Canada but my husband is sort of related. They also lived on the next farm when he was growing up. Consequently I have a fair bit of information on the family in Ontario, around the Pickering area. One branch moved earlier to the Aylmer Ontario area. In fact, I was just copying certificates on the Pickering Twp. branch last night.
Marjorie

Gostwicks

Joseph Gostwick immigrated from England to Maryland on 4 October 1677. He was an indentured servant for seven years. At the end of that time he was given a new suit of clothes, 50 pounds of tobacco and 100 acres of land in what is now Stansbury, Maryland. Every hear "shirt sleeves to shirt sleeves in three generations?" Joseph had two sons, Thomas and Nicholas. He left his plantations "Goswick's Choice" and "Adventure" one to each of his sons at the end of his widow and second wife, Elizabeth's, life. Joseph had first married Mary Corbin, mother of the two sons. Contact Kay Goswick Kennemore by email at or on the web at http://www.panola.com/users/kgkgoswick.
