My grandfather is also Peter Goschy- of Chicago- Worked at Kodak for years and the stockyards b4 that. His middle name was John. He died about 15 years ago. He was married to Anne Goschy. They had a son Peter(my dad) and a daughter Josephine who died after birth to daughter Peggy. I am now looking for Peggy Duncan who married Bobby O-brien. Do you know where she would be? Thanks--Pete

Sorry i dont know of the people you have asked about. My grandfather (Peter Goschy) lives in Resurrection retirement community in Chicago. Kind of wonder if my gradfather knows of your dad. My grandfather was a butcher and started his carrer in this country at oscar myer before starting his butcher shop (Goschy's Market) on Irving Park in Chicago. Let me know if you have ever heard of the store or my grandfather.

I knew your grandfather's butcher shop. My family shopped there often. We have been looking for some time now for hungarian sausage that is as good as Goschy's. Good luck in your research.

Thanks for the post regarding Goschy's Market. Good to hear people still remember the great sausage. Sorry to say that Peter Goschy passed away in December of 2005 and Mary in October of 2002. His children, grandchildren and now great grandchildren still get together regularly. If you remember the store perhaps you remember some of Pete and Mary's children.
Again, thankyou for the post and sharing your memory.
