I am looking for the brothers and sisters, cousins. mother, father etc.. of William Frederich, aka: Willy or Wilhem Freiderich who came over from Schnidemuhl, Germany (Poland) Prussia.
I know he came over at age 17, and that he was destined to Clyde N Dakota, to a Carl Goschke, whom I believe was a cousin.
William married Charlotte Ring. They had 9 living children.
Please let me know if you have anyinformation.
Thanks Pam Goschke Wilks

There is a Carl Goschke that my father talks about that is a cousin. I do not know much more then that. I believe that my grandfather and he were close. But I am not sure. I would love to know more about my grandfather. He died when I was young so I really never got to know him. He was very hush hush about the past so other then where he came from when he came over, we are in the dark. I would love to have any info that you would give. There were 10 children from my grandfather. Most have passed away. My father Earl, his brother Roger, sister Evelyn and brother Richard are all that are living. Thanks Pam wkprj@yahoo.com

My great grandfather's name was Carl Goschke. He emigrated from Germany via Canada to North Dakota. He was actually a German born in Russia. He had a son, Carl, born 7 July 1906 in Clyde, ND. This could be the cousin you are talking about. I have some information about that family but nothing about cousins. Since my parents were divorced when I was very young I did not have any information until recently. It turns out that the younger Carl had a son, Erwin, who lives near me (San Diego, CA) and his daughter had done some genealogy research through the Mormon Church. Found that the German spelling of the name is Goschka. If you are interested in more of the information I have on the Carl Goschke family let me know.

My grandfather was also called William Goschke, who lived in Manitoba Canada, He had an older brother named Edward who lived in Alberta... we know he had a cousin in or near Wallaha ND, by the name of Carl... My grandfather also had other sisters, Millie(died 1920, Iowa), Caroline and Anna (i think). My grandfather was born in 1895 and died 1978 He had 2 sons,,, William and Edward(my father). My great uncle Edward died in 1966 and never had and kids. We don't have much information, however we have pictures and don't know who is in them. Any info that might be related would be nice.

There is definitely a connection between our families. My gr grandfather, Carl Edward Goschke b. Oct 22, 1866 d. May 10, 1939, did own a farm in Walhalla, ND. His son, Carl Edward Goschke b. 1906 d. 1969, inherited the farm.

I will be glad to share any information I have. Please send an e-mail message so I will have your e-mail address. I may not answer right away because we will be out of town Aug. 1 - 21. My genealogy software creates reports in Microsoft Word which I can attach to an e-mail message.

I am very interested in this connection, I know that my grandfather was not home all the time. IS your grandfathers middle name the same? I am not sure when mine passed away, I know I was a child and I am reasonable sure it was in the 70's. He is buried in Washington State...
I have a job that allows me very little time so it may be a time before I get back to you but I will be on the look out..

Thanks
pam

I'm not sure what my grandfathers middle name was... i'll do some digging to check it out... as for where my grandfather is buried..is in Landmark MB... I'm sure there is a connection somehow... based on the fact that not too many Goschkes immigrated during that time period.

***Pat McCollough... i'll e-mail you as soon as I can.***
