Looking for anyone who may connect with my line of GOREs. My gg grandfather Henry GORE came over from Donnegal, Ireland sometime not much before 1849. He had been an English soldier stationed in Ireland. He was coming over for his girl, Eglentine (Ellen, Elana, Helena) O'DONNELL, whose parents had sent her to America to avoid him. She was of Spanish O'Donnell ancestry, but her family had returned to Ireland. They married and settled in Quincy, Mass. 17 Nov. 1849.

He must have gotten in trouble since he was in prison for larceny at Charlestown, Middlesex, MA according to the 1850 Fed. census. He was with his family in Quincy in the 1860,70 and 80 censuses. He died 14 Jul 1897 in Quincy. Death record says his parents were Henry Gore and Elizabeth Locke, both born in England.

Henry and Egentine's children were Henry (c.1851-Dec. 1899) m.Maria in New Mexico; Helena E. (c.1855/57-1928) m.12 Feb.1888 to Elias Washburn ADAMS; Albert Edward Earl GORE, my g grandfather (c.1858-c1944) m. Mignonette PEACOCK (my g grandmother) in Jersey City 24 Oct. 1880, then Mary Helen ROYSTON, and later Grace Kingsbury (from Maine); Frederick W. (b c1862) m. Julia Asbury, then Alice (with her in 1920 census in Huntington, Suffolk, LI, NY) - he was an archetect/engineer.

Anyone who can connect with any of this, please contact me.
