Goppert, It would be great to compare notes with all of you o the Goppert sir name. That happens to be my maiden name. I was born in Utica. NY as was my Father and his father, my ggrandfather and gggrandfather were born in Germany and came to the US about 1871. It was german that they spoke, from family book passed down to me wrote in German as well as a few Obituaries that I have from it.

I would be happy to compare notes, on the Goppert family. My gggrandpa was 'Frederick' John Frederick Goppert and was born in 1819, in Wigenheim, Bavaria, Germany. He passed away in 1903, in Indiana. He married Anna Barbara Waggoner, born in 1831, in Obernzann, Bavaria, German. She passed away in 1907, in Indiana.
