My great grandfather emigrated Franz Göppert was born in the Black Forest area of Baden, in July 1826. He emigrated from Bremen, on the MILAN, arriving at the Port of New Orleans on 2 December 1851. He changed his name to Frank Geppert. His parents names were Carl(Karl)Göppert and Barbara Starast. He had a close relative, Anton Geppert who emigrated to the Port of New Orleans arriving in 1857.

I am interested in Martin and Elizabeth Goppert. they had 2 daughers Lillian and Regina. Martin died in 1891 in Rome NY and Elizabeth moved to Utica with her daughters. if you are connected to this line, please contact me.

I am of that line Martin was my gggrandfather's son and brother to my ggrandfather John C Goppert the family came from Germany about 1870 and settled in Utica area. I have reseached this family for many years.
