Hi Neal; Your having the same problem with August that I am, Where was he born? All the info I can find shows him born in Iowa abt. 1865-1866. I also cannot find his death date and place. Its either North Dakota or Washington, I think. I did have Mabel in my records but forgot to put her in. Mabel b.22 Feb 1894 Pipestone Co.,Minn. and passes 1 Dec 1980 Seattle, Wash. Don't know anything about who she married. I would assume You already have the dates for the rest of August's family. I don't have the last name of Elmer's wife Lillie, Or the husband of Dena. Also the last name of Lewis's wife Christine. Verna Alvina b. abt. 1906 but nothing else. Its interesting that my mothers middle name in Verna and your Grandmothers first name is Verna. And that they were both born in Pipestone Co., Minnesota in 1902 and 1906. Hans Goplin my grandfather was married 3 times. He married a girl named Lelia Alfrieda Davis in 1892 in South Dakota. They had 1 child Named Estella (Stella) Goplin b. 2 Nov 1893 Kingsbury Co., South Dakota. Last I can find her is 1930 living in Beaverdam, Wisconsin. He next married my Grandmother Manie (Scott)Pickett 3 Dec 1901 in Edgerton, Minnesota. Hans and his brother ran a Dray Line in the town. My Mother came along in 1902. Hans and Manie divorced on May 19 1911. And soon after Manie and Hazel moved out to Seattle, then to Kingston, Washington. Where her father Syrell Pickett and her mother Henrietta Mansur, where living. Manie moved in with them, while my mother hand married her first husband 1 Feb 1924 in Seattle, and was living there. Hans remarried on 22 aug 1923 to a women named Nellie Moe. Hans passed away in Seattle in 1943. My mother never talked abt. her father very much. Manie passed away in 1946, 2 years after I was born. I grew up in the same house. My fathers name is Robert Burns and his father John Henry Burns came to Washington from Vermont in 1890. I have 36,900 people in my family tree. Have tried very hard to check everything I put in, but not all is perfect I am sure! Any info on your Goplin family would be helpful. Thank you Tim Burns

yes, absolutely.
My family is from the Motley area in Minnesota. So this is probably an ancestor that I am interested in.
Any info would be welcome.

Please email me at m.e.james@cox.net

Thank you,

Mike

Hi Mike,

I don't have any of Ander's line in my tree however I guess we are distant cousins as I am a great great grandson of Ander's sister, Berte. My dad's family is from Five Points, Akan Township, Wisconsin.
