My Grandfather, Frank Siwicki, worked for the Goodwillie-Green Box Company in Manistique, Michigan. He moved to Rockford, Illinois, when the company moved there. I am curious if there are any artifacts from the company that might mention employees and/or their families? I am also curious to confirm that he worked as a camp cook in Michigan.
I am trying to build a time line as to when he moved from Chicago to Michigan. I notice in the narrative that the company opened up a plant in Manistique in 1907 so I'm assuming that it was some time after that when my grandfather moved up there. My mother, Josephine Siwicki was born in Manistique as were all the other siblings.
Wonderful to come across this narrative!
