My name is Anna, and I am looking for anyone who knows or is related to the above mentioned people. I know that my dad(Benard) was originally from either Tennesee or Kentucky because my mother was from Lewisville, Ky. I was born in Chattonooga, Tn and remained there till I was 2 or 3 and moved to Texarkana, Texas. My father died sometime in 75 or 76 when I was 6yrs old. My mother has a sister named Faye____ and a bother named Charles____. I don't recall my mother's maiden and would really use this information to continue my search. There is alot of Indian heritage through my family. I have been told my great or great-great grandparents were full blood Cherokee and died on a reservation in Oklahoma. But, I know that the Indian also came from my dad's side of the family also. Here recently I have come to believe there maybe Choctaw in there too possible from my dad. My mother's sister, Faye had a set of twins by the names of Buster Raye and Donna Faye. But, I don't remember her husband at the time or her last name. The last time I saw them was when we moved to Texas around 1972, but we had to be around the same age I was born on May 11, 1969. When my dad died, my mother remarried a man named Travis Potts in 1976.We were living in a trailer park in Texarkana, Tx.at the time and she became pregnant and gave birth to a girl on July 18, 1977. Her name was Ida Mae Potts. We then moved to Waterall St. in Texarkana, Tx. and had 3 more kids; Robert, Travis and Marlie. My sister Ida Mae and myself were removed from that home in the spring of 1979 and placed in foster care due to abuse in the home. My brother Robert was born that year in August. My sister's name was changed from Ida to Abbie and we were adopted to a wonderful family in 1980 from Tyler. I got a chance to meet my brother Robert, Christmas of 1997 and he is doing great. I found my other brother was looking for me and Abbie last May around the Texarkana area and had been in and out of trouble since my step-dad passed away in 1999 and my mother was placed in a semi-retirement center in Texarkana, Tx due to the fact that she can't or want take care of herself correctly. Marlie was born around sometime between 1983-1984. I have seen her 1 time also in Maud, Tx with her new family that adopted her. If anyone has information about my brother Travis, please feel free to let me know. He may be the missing link for names of my mother's family and where they may be. I'm reseaching this to find out more about my Indian heitage for which I am very proud of.
