I have traced my Goodman line from William Goodman and Mary Archer down to the present day. There is no person named Johanna W. Webster in it. Now, like any good genealogist, I hope I've got an open mind. Names and dates are not particularly useful. But if you have a marriage certificate showing Benjamin Goodman and Johanna Webster as man and wife, or a will of Benjamin's or Johanna's naming the other as Administrator/Administratrix, or a certified copy of a land transaction where, for example, Benjamin Goodman gives a tract of land to my wife, Johanna Goodman born Webster.. These are the types of things that could prove the Webster claim. Absent this type of proof I'm afraid Johanna Webster's connection to the Goodman family must remain just a story.
If you believe you have one of those documents contact me at

And if you're interested I can provide you with my Goodman line unbroken for almost 400 years.
