I am tracing the Goods from the townland of Kilmore, Brinny Parish, Bandon, Co. Cork. Thomas(1796-1880) of Castlenalact and John (1801-1873) were brothers. In 1830 John, of Belmore, married Catherine Bateman of Glanduff, and moved to Bathurst,N.B. Their son John was born there in 1831. Interested in anything about the family in Ireland. Have data to swap on later generations. There was also a Michael Good (1801-1884) known as the "miller" in Kilmore. He is the son of William and Mary who both died in 1840. The tithe applotment records show a William Good and a Thomas Good next to one another in Kilmore on lots about equal (36 acres). Would appreciate anything.

Thomas Good

I have recently come across some information that points to John Good and catherine Bateman being my gr.gr.gr. grandparents. I believe Robert Good who married Catherine Jennings is their son. Would you have any information on this couple?

John Good died in 1873 and is buried in Bathurst, New Brunswick. Catherine died in 1895 and is buried in the same place. I believe they had 8 children. Robert was one of them.

While researching your Good's of Co Cork, have you come across information on the Good's who settled in Good's Corner, Carlton Co., New Brunswick? I am interested in where they originated.
