I have been trying to find out if these two people are closely connected and reached a dead end. Here's what I have so far:

Garrett Goins, born about 1804 in Kentucky, married Hulda Faley (died 1858), and he was still alive in the 1880 census (Hoggins School House, Gallatin, Ky.); numerous children per 1850 and 1860 Gallatin census records; and there is a Garret Goins in the 1830 Gallatin census. I haven't found a death record and have no information about his parents or siblings.

All I have on "Patsy" is heresay (giving birth year as 1790 and death between 1850 & 1860) and her daughter Lucrecia Rose's death record giving parents as Randolph and Mary Jones.
