Goffredo From Bari, Italy
Just wanted to add to this message board and let you know about my Goffredo family. My grandmother was Guiseppina Goffredo, born in Sauvignano, Italy in 1898. Guiseppina's parents were Nicola Domenico Goffredo (born in Bari 1869) and Faustina Candela (born in Sauvignano). I was able to find Nicola's birth record from the Bari vital record microfilms at LDS, but it was very difficult to read. With some help from people who can read Italian better than I, it looks like Nicola's parents were Guiseppe Goffredo and (Tomasa Gile i Ge??). It has been difficult to gather additional information. My family story has it that Nicola was killed from being kicked by a horse (I would love to find documentation of such an event). After his death, Guiseppina (and her siblings Angiiolina and Nunzio) and Faustina came to New York on the SS Perugia arriving Feb. 5, 1906. I have a photocopy of the passenger list. Guiseppina settled in Boston where she married Pasquale Rabasca (now Rabasco). I would be interested in hearing if others have more information and possibly family connections.

Re: Goffredo From Bari, Italy
Hi, I am interested in travelling to Bari to meet some of the Goffredo family who may still be there. My grandfather was William Goffredo who resided in Cambridge MA. He was married to Violet Savoy.
I am very interested in any info people have on our lineage!

Re: Goffredo From Bari, Italy
I have been researching for about a year about a Giuseppa Goffredo that immigrated and lived in Wellsville, Ohio. She married Francisco Lauciello and they had two sons, Joseph born May 24, 1908 and Michael born April 6, 1910. I thought this may be the one, but too young. She immigrated February 14, 1906 and I cannot find where and what ship. Do you know her or related to her.

Re: Goffredo From Bari, Italy
I was searching and saw your forum. I had a great uncle named Nicholas and his wife was Tina. I was wondering if he had a brother named Joseph who had four children named Paul, Nicholas, Ann and Charles. My uncle Charlie still lives in Somerville and is in his 80's.

Did your grandfather William have a father named Frank and a sister named Patricia?

Re: Goffredo From Bari, Italy
Hi Chris,
This post is quite old and I'm not even sure if you're on here anymore but I'm going to take the chance because in searching for family information, I stumbled across your post here from 2005. My aunt was Violet Savoy and she was from Cambridge, MA so I know it has to be the same person! It's slightly possible (though probably unlikely) that she could still be alive? I don't know but I know she was my grandmother's sister and kind of a mystery and I'm just trying to put family information together here so perhaps I can now that I know your grandfather was married to her!
If you receive this, please write back - at the very least, I have another last name to associate with her that I never knew of!
Thank you!
