Surnames: Rebecca Goe - Little
Susan: I received your E-mail and am always glad to hear from a relative. We must be cousins. (To what degree, I do not know.) Edna Rodgers lived with Aunt Liz King, who was my grandmother, Haddie Mae Little Casbar's sister, on Jefferson Avenue in Connellsville, PA. How is Jean Little? I have only spoken to her once. I last sent her a picture of Henry Goe and some other papers. My sister, Loretta Fischer and her daughter, Helen Fischer, and my brother, Joseph Russek are actively doing some genealogy studies. All the John Littles you mentioned have come up in our studies as being family. My great grandfather is John Little. He's probably your great grandfather, too. If you ever wish to call me, my phone no. is 770-458-9846. My address is 3591 Keswick Drive, Chamblee, GA 30341. My regular E-mail address is: aadwhess@cs.com. However, I am having some difficulty with the E-mail service right now. I have Jean Little's address in my little red book. I was at The Atlanta History Center on Friday doing some work. We are trying to determine who John Little's (He was supposedly born in 1800 or so) parents. I came up with a Thomas Little w/a wife named Jane and their 7 children. I understand that Jean had thought that Thomas may be the father. Thomas fought in the Revolutionary War and was from Fayette County. I also came up with a Thomas Patterson (from Rev. War records) who was married to a Sarah Little. He apparently died in Somerset, Pennsylvania. I have never been to Minnesota. At any rate, it is good to hear from family. Our family has always been so distant. No one seems to bother with anyone else. I noticed your query on McDougal. I am without knowledge on her.

Hi Darlene,

I have been reading your messages and they are fantastic. My Goe relative is Lydia Goe married to William Lancaster. I would love to have any information you have along with a copy of the picture of Henry Goe.

I hope to hear back from you soon. My email is dlcain52@hotmail.com

Thanks,

Diane

I am so jazzed right now I can hardly stand it. In reading your post I encountered my great grandfather and great grandmother's family. My great grandfather was Stephen Bryant Batch. His father was Stephen Batch and his mother was a Goe. I have the census page copy that lists the entire family including Nancy Bradley as the mother in law who was living with them at the time. My great grandfather's family was from Tyronne Mills in Fayette County Pennsylvania. My grandmother was Leota Batch. She was Stephen Bryant's daughter. He was a prominent barber in Monangahela and is written up in the History of Mongahela. I have been searching for quite a long time now and have never encountered a Goe connection although I knew it was there. Please e-mail with any other information you may have. On subsequent census pages everyone is listed as mulatto. I am African American with lots of Anglo ancestors on both my grandparent's side.

"The Connellsville Library has an old history book with a picture in it of Daniel Little riding a bicycle."

I realize I'm fairly late in posting this message, but I don't suppose that anyone knows the title of the old history book that contains the photo of Daniel Little or if anyone has any further information about David Porter Little or his father John Solomon Little?

Thanks,
Daniel Little
