Hans and Fredericka (Fey) Godbersen, Douglas Co., Nebraska

I'm looking for information on the above couple. Hans Godbersen was born in Germany about 1868, immigrated to the U.S. in 1884 (according to census records), and died in Millard, Douglas County, Nebraska on June 28, 1913. Parents on Hans' death certificate are listed as Tomas and Anna Godbersen, both born in Germany. Children of Hans and Fredericka were Anna (b.1890), Ludwig "Louis" (b.1891), Herman (b.1894), Otto (b.1899), Frieda (b.1904), and Harry (b.1908).

I'm looking for information on The Godbersen family that consisted of:
Parents: Johann Peter Godbersen and Johanna Hinricksen
Children were: Carsten, Christian, Hermina, Theo, Peter, and John. There were also 3 other unknown girls in the family. This Godbersen group immigrated from Germany in the 1920's to NW Iowa and usually to the Ida County area. Hermina married a man named Walter Clausen.

I'm looking for any information on Christian P. Godbersen (1899-1956) married to Alvena Cohrt. Christian's brother was Cartsen Godbersen. Chris and Alvena are buried in Ida County, Iowa.

Jess Godbersen was born in Langenhorn Germany. He was the third of 9 children.F-Carsten Godbersen,M-Hanna Henningsen. Jess and Ingeborg had 12 children. most born in Illinois.You are G G grandaughter of which one? I have a bit more if we could correspond directly Barbara

It is so wonderfull to finally have some information on Jess Godbersen!
I am the Great Grand-daughter of Emilia Ann Lisette Godbersen (m. Wilhelm Lemke) She was born Oct. 11, 1892. I have lots on info on the Feddersens (Ingeberg) but until now have had no luck with The Godbersens. How are you related to Jess Godbersen? Where are you located. I have found much info on Ingeburg Feddersen (my great-great grandmother) but very little on her Husband, Jeß Godbersen. I know that Ingeburg was born in Sterdebüll, in 1858. I know that the family did not imigrate to the US until after 1882, and that they came to St. Peter, Illinios.Three children (Hanna, Nicolia, and Unknown child name) were born in Sterdebüll and Büttjebüll. Any info you might be able to share would be greatly appreciated.

Ingeburg Dorothea Feddersen's mother's name was Magdalena Christina Petersen Feddersen. She was born about 1834 in Langenhorn, Northfriesland. Visit the site of the Northfrisian Institute www.nordfriiskinstituut.de and you will find more information about her, her parents and siblings in the database of the Emigrant Archive. Her father was born and lived in Sterdebüll (parish of Bordelum) until emigration.

Am starting research on info recieved that Ingeburg Dorthea Fedderen's Mother (name unknown) passed away in St. Louis, MO. USA. Will post more once found. If anyone nows additional names of parents and/or siblings of Ingeburg would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Jamie, I found a Ingeburg Dorothea Feddersen. She was born on 31. Dec. 1858 in Sterdebüll. Neither she nor one of her 14 siblings married in the parish of Bordelum. Not even her parents died there. They must have moved or maybe some of them or all emigrated to the US. But I have no proof.

Dear Jamie, I can't help you much, but Jeß Godbersen and Ingeburg Dorothea Feddersen lived in Bordelum, Northfriesland, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany around 1880. Some of their children were born there: Hanna Christina 28. Sep 1878 in Sterdebüll, Nicolai Peter 26. June 1880 in Büttjebüll and another child, where I don't have the name on 24. Feb. 1882 again in Büttjebüll. Sterdebüll and Büttjebüll both belong to the parish of Bordelum. Both names Godbersen and Feddersen are northfrisian. So will have to look for them in Northfriesland.

Freitag), Augusta, Elnora, Hanna (m. Herman Tobeck), Emelia Ann (m. William Lemke), and Walter. I too am looking for Godbersen relatives. GG grandparents were Jes Godbersen and Ingelburg Feddersen. I was told by Family that they arrived in IL from Germany. Haven't been able to find out anything else. Maybe I am looking in the wrong part of the world? My G-grandmother was Emelia Godbersen Lemke from IL, USA. Any help you might have on the Surname origins would be greatful.

Feeling kinda lonely here in Sweden, being the only one left with that surname. My dad was Jens Godbersen, his twin brother is/was Uwe. Other brothers were/is Harald & Hans...
They came from/lives in Delve, Heide, Schleswig-Holstein.
I've tried LOTS of times to get in touch with them or any other relative over the years. Mostly some minor mail exchange take place, & then...nothing. Or, in Uwe's case, I got the "Salvation Army missing people branch" to look him up, but some woman, his wife I think, slammed the door on them (literary speaking) by claiming that he didn't want any contact with me whatsover, wich I heavily doubt he said. Surely he must be curious about the look of his twin brother's son...
Anyway, I don't give up. There must be someone out there willing to communicate with a close or distant relative, giving me a sort of "identity".
Don't be afraid, I won't bite...
