Surnames: Godber, Mulloy, Sargeant
I'm looking for direct descendants of Cleora Godber Mulloy and her sister Elise Godber. They were residents of Waltham, Massachusetts, and had their pictures taken in Boston in 1891. ( I found what may possibly be their family or a related one in the 1890 Waltham, Mass. census. Father George, mother Zilah, children Emma, 17, Zilah, 15, Walter, 9, Eliza, 5, William, 3, all born in England, so they must have just immmigrated.) Cleora married into the Mulloy family, which also has a connection to the Sargeants of Worcester, Mass. I have pictures of these young women that I would like to return to family members. I know nothing further about their genealogy.

I just proofread the message I posted yesterday, and realized I made an error...The census record was NOT 1890; it was 1880. Sorry!

I have previously studied/charted this branch of the Godber family and am quite certain that the Cleora that you are speaking of is actually the wife of Walter L. Godber, son of George Godber. It is possible that they were 1st/2nd cousins although I have not researched this yet.
Elise Godber is also listed as Irene E Mulloy born, b.1875, age 55 in the 1930 census and residing at Hampden, MA.
Could this be your Mulloy connection?
Cleora and husband Walter are listed in the Los Angeles, CA Census and Voting Rolls in 1924, 1926 and 1932, with Cleora living at her daughter's residence in '32.
I no longer have a paid membership account, but would like to help you get in contact with living relatives of Walter/Cleora Godber if you are so inclined. Please repost to this message board if you would like my email link.

I would be delighted to find descendants of either Cleora or Elise......I have several pictures related to them, and they need to go to family. I got them a few years ago when a small antique mall near my home here in California closed. The vendor was going to throw them out and I rescued them with the idea of finding them a home. Godber and Mulloy are two of the surnames on the photographs.
