Re: Hemingways of Bradford
Maurice, Margaret Ann Hemingy was born 17 Mar 1875 at Mannigham, Bradford, York. I think she was the oldest child. Thanks for your quick reply. Judith

Herbert Hemingway b: approx 1886 Connecticut
Dear Mr. Hemingway I am looking for Herbert Hemingway (Middle Initial E?) born approximately 1886 in Litchfield? Connecticut USA. Father Samuel Hemingway, Mother Lucy Johnson? Unknown wife. Son was (only child) Raymond Samuel Hemingway. Raymond married Harriet (moved to Saxtons River, Vermont USA) and had Ralph, Russell, Kenneth and Mary. Russell was my grandfather. I am having a lot of trouble finding Herbert or Samuel and their ancestors. I do know that somewhere (Herbert or maybe Samuel's father married a Preston (My great-great grandmother was Luman Preston's great grandaughter?). I do know that our branch of Hemingway's came from England.

Hi
My family spelled their name Hemmingway. My Great Great Grandfather was born in Sheffield Yorkshire, then moved to Manchester. His spouse Betsy Hemmingway (nee Dugganon was also born in Sheffield. I have managed to go that far back and have details of siblings etc.
They are all buried in Phillips Park in Manchester, but I really need to start getting birth certificates and death certificates.
I am very new to this and any help or tips on researching would help.

Hello,
I'm very interested in your research, My Great Grandmother was Minnie Hemmingray who was born in Heage in the Amber Valley. Her parents were Samuel Hemmingray and Elizabeth Smith. She moved to Creswell in Derbyshire, however it is often listed as Worksop or Mansfield in Nottinghamshire. Another Hemmingray who was her cousin also moved to Creswell.
I hope I can be of help.
Neil.
