Godards in Spalding County, Georgia
My grandfather wasCharles L. Godard who lived in Spalding County, Georgia in an area called Orchard Hill which is south of Griffin. He had two sisters, Irma and Cora, and also several brothers (and I think one's name was Tom but am not sure). He was married to Gladys Cooper. They are buried at Rehobath Baptist Church Cemetery in Orchard Hill. My grandfather died in 1944 but I'm not sure what year he was born or where he was born.

Godard's of Spalding County, Georgia
Hi Angela: I just saw your posting. I realize it's been awhile since you made the posting and you may have much more information now but I have Franklin Thomas Godard as the son of Frederick R. Godard and Elizabeth Ann Thornton. I have been researching this family for years and have it back to about 1738 in NC. I have Franklin's ancestry and his wife's name but no other descendency. I may be able to provide you with a good deal of information on his ancestry. He had many siblings and I will be happy to provide that as well. The only difference in the information you posted and mine is his date of birth. Feel free to write as I am always happy to share what I have. Oh, and Franklin Thomas is buried at Rock Springs Church Cemetery. Mary Goddard, Augusta, GA

Hi: Charles L. Godard was the son of Daniel Godard (1843-1910) and Mary Jane Bloodworth (1843-1907). I have a good bit of information on his ancestry (the direct ancestor I am researching was Charles' brother, Jefferson Bonaparte Godard) and would be happy to share. My father in law is living and at the time of Charles' death in 1946 my father in law was 19 years old. He remembers Charles L. although as a very small child he called him "Uncle Lumpy". Mary, Hello again! I would still like to obtain the lineage you have on the two Godards that married Bloodworth siblings. It would be nice to add that to the compilation I have on the Bloodworths. Please come through for me. Also, do you have pictures of Hiram Bonaparte and Mary Ann Abbott Crawley Bloodworth, orTamsa Proctor Bloodworth? Or the Bloodworths that married Godards? Please advise. Thanks. Richard
