No, Floyd Tilman Godair born in Parma Mo. in 1889 was the eldest son of Alfred Bonaparte Godair , who was the older brother of Hershel Godair's Grandfather Robert Godair. Robert and Alfred were sons of Napolean and Ann Godair, Ann Clark married napoleon in 1848 in Le Siuer twsp. Napoleon was the son of Toussaint Godair, who was between 50 and 60 years old in 1830, I am still searching for his parents

No, Floyd was born in 1889 the eldest Son of Alfred Bonaparte Godair, who was the second to last son of Napoleon and Ann Godair of Le Sieur MO. in 1862. Alfred B is buried in the downtown Cemetary of Parma Mo. showing death date of 1909.
Napoleon and Ann had Children named in order from eldest to youngest Andrew, Augustus, Columbus, Elisa ( Sissy ) Louisa, Alfred B. , and Robert.
It is my information that Robert named his son Robert Dalton who was the ffather of Hershel Godair.
I have so far been unsuccesful in connecting my Great Grandfather Napoleon to his father, Napoleon was born in 1830 and was 18 when he married Ann Clark in 1848, I have a copy of that marriage license. if anyone can shed light on Napoleon's parents please answer this note.
I have bits of info that Piere ( Peter ) Godair who came to Cape Girrdeau Mo. in 1790 along with Baptiste Godair as Spanish Militia soldiers, and established farms along Ramsey Creek in 1795 had a son named Joseph Napoleon, I am trying to determine if there is a connection there.
I do have documented proof that Piere ( Peter ) Godair cut down trees and built a log house on what is now 120 Broadway in Cape Girrdeau in 1804, one year after Thomas Jefferson bought the Louisana Purchase from Napoleon of France in 1803.

My great grandfather was Joseph Godair, born either in 1850 or 1851. I do know his father was Francis Godair, born 1812. From checking census records, I believe Francis was the son of Toussaint Godair, but haven't yet established this as fact. All are from the New Madrid County area of Missouri. Does anyone have information on him?

I'm not sure if you're following the women side of Godair, but Toussaint's daughter Marguerite married Jean Babtiste Hubert dit LaCroix on 12/30/1799 or so, in St Charles. Their son Louis Frederic LaCroix, b 10/28/1804, traveled up to the Minnesota Territory sometime before 1845. He married Rosalie, a 100% Mdewakanton or Santee Indian on 01/18/1848. That line can be follwed in 1850, 1860, 1870 census of Territory. They were the first settlers in Renville County in MN, sought refuge in Fort Ridgely in the 1862 Indian attack and had a son Frederick who is my great grandfather. Best regards, Ron LaCroix
