YOUNGSTOWN - Ferenc Goda, 95, passed away Friday morning, November 5, 2010 at Austin Woods Nursing Home, Austintown, Ohio.(Mahoning County, Ohio)
Ferenc was born Sept. 25, 1915, in Bodrog Kisfalud, Hungary, a son of Ferenc and Maria Fazekas Goda.
He came to America and New York City in 1951 and came to Youngstown, Ohio in 1961. He was a printer for the Catholic Hungarian Sunday newspaper and a printer and manager of the Franciscan Publishing Co.
Ferenc was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church, the Rosary and Confraternity Society, a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus No. 3930, the Mahoning Valley Stamp Club, MHBK, the Youngstown American Hungarian Federation of Churches and Society, and the 3rd Order of St. Francis. He also was a veteran of the Hungarian Army.
Ferenc is survived by his wife, the former Maria Szkladanyi, whom he married Sept. 12, 1949; three daughters, Maria (Nicholas) Valley of Canfield, Ohio Theresa (Jon) Keefer of Oregon and Agnes (Ferenc) Janossy of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; a son, Frank (Christina) Goda of Virginia; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters in Hungary.
He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Services will be held Monday, November 7, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Szabo & Sons Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Hungary Church
Friends may call today (Sun) from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Franciscan Friars Shrine of Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave. Youngstown, Ohio

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
