Is anyone connected to Samuel Goard and Ann Benny/Benney (married in St. Agnes August 28, 1803)? I can find 11 children for them from 1804 to 1823, one of which is my 3G-Grandmother Mary (she married Leonard ROGERS on 25 Dec 1839 in St. Agnes).

I've seen information that Samuel Goard died in 1826 just 3 years after the birth of his youngest child.

Feel free to e-mail me directly with any connections to these folks.

Here's hoping that you are still there after more than 2 years- just came across you message.

I am descended from Samuel Goard 1803, Mary's Oldest Brother. Therefore I believe our common ancestor would be Samuel Goard and Ann Benny.(My Great,Great,Great, Great Grandparents)

I have found the research particulary of Samuel and Mary's generation particularly difficult as our Parish records just catch Samuel and Ann's marriage, we have used BMD and then the 1841 census is our only other line of more definate info. We therefore have a void. We thought there must have been other children between Samuel and Mary but keep hitting blanks.

If you are interested in sharing information that would be fantastic- we may have something you have missed, who knows?

Please reply to andyrac.hutchinson@blueyonder.co.uk My name is Rachel.

I am descended from your Samuel's brother John Goard b. 1805 at St Agnes. In 1833 he married Elizabeth Holman and produced a son, also John in 1834. I am unable to locate any further children.
I have traced the family back to Philip Goard who married Mary Lord in 1666.
Any assistance with this family would be appreciated.

Hello Nigel,

I've also traced the family back to Phillip Goard and Mary Lord's marriage on November 13, 1666 in Cornwall. I'm sorry, I don't have anything to offer prior to that.

Best Regards,
Pamela

Hi Nigel
Like you I have only one son named John from the Marriage of John Goard and Elizabeth Holman.
John had a second marriage, Martha Rowe on 30/11/1837, no issue that I have found as yet from this union.
