I was just playing around on the web with the last name Gniffke, My mothers name was Gretrude Gniffke and she has a brother Paul Gniffke in CA,and another brother Arnold Gniffke in St.Petersburg FL..Their Mother my sweet Grandma name was Fredia and Grandpa William "Bill"all from Cottenwood MN... here is my e-mail (liz.psalm63@yahoo.com)..Best wishes!

I'm looking for information on my grandfather Arnold Gniffke b. 6/18/1919 in Cottonwood, MN, m. 9/7/1945 to Virginia Margret Stewart b. 3/1/1926 in Pittsfield, ME. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Julie...
I live in Cottonwood, MN...I will do a little looking to see what I can fine. I am thinking he would be a cousin of my dad. The Gniffke family homesteaded just east of Cottonwood.
