Hi Charissa,

I was a friend of your parents Kelvin and Sue many years ago. Your father used to work at a company called Allen West (EAC) Limited in St. Albans. Your mother and him used to live in a mobile home at Slip End, near Harpenden before emigrating to South Africa. I can't remember where your Grandparents lived unfortunately, but I feel that it was Tyttenhanger Green near St. Albans.

Did you find your father? I hope so. What has happened to your mother? Is she well.

Your father was an usher at my wedding in 1974, and your mother was my bridesmaid.

I hope that all is now well with you.

All the best Fiona

The Gniazdowski family lived next door but one to us at 44 Langley Grove, Sandridge about 3 miles north of St Albans Hertfordshire AL4 9DU. There are a few people still living there that knew your father and the rest of the family it was a very close knit community 40+ years ago. Kelvin had an older brother Bob and a younger sister Katrina. Katrina had a boy Terry when she was very young and another Steven later. Terry also had children very young, with a young girl down the road. My mother knows much more about the family than I and I could get her to shed more light on your family if required. Janet Smith who lived next door to your father and was at junior school with him emigrated to South Africa but I am still in contact. Michael Baldock also of the same age has a younger brother who lives in the family house opposite at no 49.
