I'm searching for informations about my gggrandfather David Gnann
*28. Okt. 1844 Ulm/Donau +02. Sep. 1905 Ulm/Donau
He was the innkeeper of the Gaststätte Maienkäfer (inn "May Bug") at the
Kornhausgasse.
I'm looking for pictures of this inn (1872 - 1890)

His father David Gnann
*04. Feb. 1804 Ulm/Donau +17. Sep. 1866 Ulm/Donau
was miller at the Isakenmühle in Ulm.

Has anybody informations about these guys?

I looked in my files and don't have any information
for you on your great grandfathers, sorry.
However, if you ever find the photos of the Inn,
I would love to get a copy e-mailed to me. :-)

Also, I'm building an Excel file Gnann Family Tree
and would love to get any information about the Ulm Gnanns that you have.
My part of the family came from Langenau.
I can email the file to you if you'de like.

tschuess!

Sorry I have no info related to your request - but was curious if you knew what the origin of the name Gnann is?

From my research, I understand that Gnan is a Sanskrit (ancient proto-indian language) that means Wisdom...

Seems to be a rather unique German name.

I appreciate any insight that you might have.

Buenos Dias -

Me llamo Bill Gnan (John William/Juan Guillermo).

Ciao -
