Georgia to Florida Gnann

The Salzbergers of Effingham County Georgia had many Gnann surnamed folks. One of them (Ephraim) is said to have gone to Florida and married a "Miss Alvarez". My Great Grandmother was Ella Mae Gnann whose father was ELbert Gnann. My question is, can anyone connect the dots on the Gnann's of Florida to the one's from Georgia???
I'm posting this on FamilyHistory.com so a reply to my e-mail address would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill Moore

Hello again Linda!

Hope you had a great commute home for the weekend. :-)
(My mother used to do the same thing when she used to
live in Quincy, IL and worked in St. Louis during the week).
By the way...my grandfather was a Bill Gnann as well, though
not the same guy I'm afraid. Unless something was going on
that my grandmother doesn't know about.... ;-) ;-) :-)

I have you and your father added to my family
tree file. What's your e-mail address and I can send
it off to you? (This site doesn't allow me to add a
file to this reply and also doesn't show our/your email
addresses.

I can be reached at: mike@gnanners.com

Have a great weekend!

I'm heading home for lunch to torment the latest addition to (and cutest in) the Gnann family...
Elsa Marie Gnann at 8 weeks old!

I was born and raised in Middleburg, Fla. My grandfather, Leroy Gnann and his family moved here from Georgia around the 1920's. He met my grandmother, Esther Chesser, they married and had two sons, Floyd & Carol. Floyd is my father. He still lives here in Middleburg also. I'd like to know more about the clans in Georgia and would like to visit the Gnann cemetary near Savannah. Could anyone enlighten me on exactly where it is located? I've heard they have a Gnann get together every year on Labor Day - I'm not positive if that still occurs or not, but I'd like to know. If any of you would like to contact me, please feel free to do so.

I think I can help you with your questions.

I was born and raised within 5 miles of the cemetery you referred to, but it is not strickly a Gnann cemetery.

This site is very slow, and it would be best to communicate directly, using the above address.

Cecil.
