Ms. Samspon has mention my Ancestors in her Message. Mr. Glyshaw is my gg-father and Irva Conniff (Glyshaw) is my g-mother which she had died in 1984. Irva Martin Conniff had 9 children. Irva Glyshaw (Conniff) grand-children are living in Washington State and California. George Glyshaw is my gg-uncle. The names mention in Ms. Samspon post is interesting. For the fact I didn,t know the is a book on my Ancestors and that I'm part German.

Hi Bernadette,

I'll be happy to provide you wish a copy of this bio since you are related to the John Glyshaw listed in the volume entitled, "Biographical Memoirs of St. Clair County, Michigan." Additionally, I can give you the name and e-mail address of another Glyshaw researcher who requested this bio from me as they are related to John Glyshaw as well and you two may therefore share common family lines.

Please e-mail me at: Search4Kin@hotmail.com to provide me with your mailing address so I can send you the bio, also so I can give you the name of the other Glyshaw researcher I referenced above.

Hope to hear from you!

Take care,
Stephanie Sampson

I also would like a copy of the Glyshaw bio. My great aunt Bessie (Van Luven) was married to John Glyshaw. I live in St. Clair County MI. I have been to the Ruby Cemetery where the Van Luvens and Glyshaws are buired. I have taken pictures of the graves. Their are a lot of Glyshaw buied in Ruby and Grant Twp. I am doing my family research. I don't know if you live in Montana or not,but I have been trying to find a death certificate for Bessie brother Calvin Chester Van Luven. He died in Montana in September of 1919. If anyone could help me I would be greatful. Thank-You

The information about George Glyshaw and Mary Brown is incorrect. They had 3 children Percus, Irva and Vida. Percus died at a young age on the farm in Ruby. George died in 1930 and Mary died 1949. Vida married Harry Riddell which are my grand parents they had 5 kids and are still living in Michigan. If you have any other questions I'll be glad to ask my Dad.

The information in the memiors are incorrect. George Glyshaw married Mary Brown, they had 3 children. Percus, Irva and Vida. Percus died very young, she died on the farm in Ruby. Vida married Harry Riddell they had 5 children. George Glyshaw was my Dad's grand father and he died in 1930 and Mary died in 1949 at the house on Whipple St in Port Huron. Irva was my Dad's aunt.

Surnames: Glyshaw?
Colleen, I read your reply to would you like a copy? Irva Glyshaw (1902-1984) is my Grandmother who had married Martin Conniff( 1901-1967). My grandparents are buried in Rowland Height, Ca. I have a couple article on Harry Riddell. One if announces Harry and Vida 58th anniversary and Harry seeks election on the 14th District County Board in Port Huron. Which I received from my Grandmother. I heard from the great-vine John Glyshaw was not a true Glyshaw his Father was a Gleichauf and his Mother was a Geitman? So any information that you have it would be greatly appreciated.

I did a search on John Glyshaw and came up with a nice article on him. I also asked my Dad what he rememebers about his grandfather, if you want to e mail me at Rcmr122@aol.com I can forward the article to you. Can you forward the articles on Harry Riddell, that's my grandfather. I met Aunt Irva couple of times, wonderful women, just like my Nanny.
