In 1837 a Christoph Friedrich Glueck and Family applied for papers to leave Sersheim Vaihingen district Germany to come to North America.
The family listed is Christoph b. May 29,1805, Maria Elizabeth b. Oct 26, 1808, Rosina Christina Glueck b. Sept 27, 1832, and Jacob friedrich Glueck b. Aug 17,1834.

Descendents of Christoph eventually moved to Southeast Missouri.
Mainly New Madrid, Scott, and Cape Girardeau Counties in Missouri.

There are two separate Glueck lines in Scott County alone, that are supposedly not related.

Any further info on the Gluecks from Germany to Missouri would be appreciated.

Thanks, email: kmurdock@swbell.net

I am trying to find the descendants of a Monte Glueck who died in LA in 1954. Monte married a woman named Clara; they had a son named Joseph.

Monte was the son of Adolph Glueck, former mayor of Dodge City, KS. Adolph married Sophia Loebner in St. Louis in 1865.

Monte had a brother named Leo and a sister named May.

Does any of this ring a bell with you?

I am sorry but they do not sound familiar.

The only Gluecks' I am aware of are the ones related to my half brother Michael Glueck son of Philip, son of Christopher, son of Christoph from Germany.
I am sorry I can not help you.

Do you know if your Christopher Glueck had a sister named Laura? She is my grandmother and was born in MO and lived in the southeast part. My Mother's Bible shows that she had brothers Phillip and Chris. That is all I know of her family, so any info you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My grandmother was Laura (Glueck) Coram b. abt 1888 in SE MO and married to Herbert Lawson Coram. She had brothers Chris and Phillip and he had brothers Floyd and Huel and a sister Martie (Harris). In my searching I found that she was 1st married to a Robert Collins. Most info I got from my Mother's Bible, Frances Coram, but have not been able to find anying else. I think I remember someone saying (years ago) that Herbert was Indian (Cherokee I think) but on the WW1 draft registration card I found he says he is W(hite) so am not sure of this. I found the family on the 1930 census (Little River dist, Missouri) and that states he was W(hite) and from Tenn. If anyone has more information I would appreciate any you would be willing to share.
